Recently, I shared The Beauty Department’s ombre nails tutorial on my Facebook page. I finally had the chance to try it out myself but ALAS I tend to avoid shopping for similar nail polish colors and that totally bit me in the ass this time around!! I do have a short spectrum of neutral and brown colors and they came out looking really cool. I can’t stop looking at my nails right now.
Please excuse the owie on my finger.
It was messy to do but easy to clean up, thankfully. Also, since you’re working with a sponge, the layers are thin and dry quickly. The biggest downside for me was that small bits of sponge started tearing off and sticking to my nails. A couple of my nails are bumpy but it’s not that noticeable with the naked eye.
I call this the Burnt Umber Ombre. Get it?! GET ITTT?!?!
Nail polishes used:

OPI Tickle Me Francey
OPI You Don’t Know Jacques
Zoya Codie

I am alienman. Writing a small blurb about myself is the hardest thing to do. "Blurb" is a funny word.

I’m torn between following that tutorial to do a similar mani on my nails right now, or waiting to see if I get the coolest blue nail polish (EVAR) in the mail tomorrow….decisions decisions….
