It’s funny how it still feels like fall when the temperature is back in the 70s and threatening to rise into the 80s. It just no longer feels appropriate to wear brightly colored nail polish. Maybe this feeling will pass and I’ll be wearing neon pink right in the middle of November.
I have this thing for gunmetal, steel, hematite colors. The metallic grey-black in this deep purple really stood out far better than I’d expected. The purple of the color is so… vague? It’s only barely obvious in certain light settings. If it weren’t for the name of the lacquer, you’d be wondering if it were a brown or a purple or a grey.
I was having one of THOSE days, in which I kept messing up the same nail and ruining it further by trying to fix it. It gets so bad looking that you have to remove the whole thing and start over, but your nail hates you by now for your previous failures and refuses to take the nail lacquer like a good girl. Also, I need to start investing in better cotton pads. The stuff I use leaves little cotton hairs in my nails and really gets in the way.
I applied three coats for good measure but you really only need two to achieve this look.
I believe these are still BOGO1/2O at Walgreens. What are your favorite nail colors for this season?

Personally I really don’t have a favourite colour for seasons…I wear whatever. I mean I was still doing dark nails in the summer, and will likely do brights in the winter. Depends on the mood really^^
But will be doing a lot of dark purples for sure. Love them purples XD
