Taking a break from the Europe topic to show off my latest NOTD. They don’t sell Gosh in Oregon and I’m guessing this goes for the rest of the USA. Chyi bought me a couple of lip glosses and a nail polish as a gift (she’s been sooooo generous the entire time I was there) and I picked up Flamingo a few days later.
Ever since my bottle of OPI “That’s Hot” had leaked and dried up, I had been wanting a bright pink to replace it. “Flamingo” filled up that void quite nicely.
I really like how long the color lasted under a coat of Seche Vite. I only had it on for about a week but the color lasted that entire time with no chipping or fading. The consistency is smooth but a little thick. The color goes on evenly but you have to be careful not to go overhanded. Here, I’m wearing 2 or 3 coats.
I thought I’d be “creative” and do a reverse French tip, using China Glaze Recycle as a contrasting color. I love the color combination but I can see how a grey cuticle can give the impression of a dead bruised nail that’s about to fall off.

I am alienman. Writing a small blurb about myself is the hardest thing to do. "Blurb" is a funny word.

OMG, I didn’t know GOSH is in Denmark. Otherwise I could have asked you to piggy backed me a palette or something. I’ve heard good things about this brand. Nice nail polish! The reverse French tip doesn’t look weird at all to me.
it reminded me of a reverse mood changing polish XD
didn’t realize the deadness until you mentioned it
Ditto to what Rasilla said. The NOTDs you post are inspiring. I did something similar to what you posted last time (the one with glitters) to the wedding I attended this weekend. I definitely want to try what you’ve done on this one since you also got me Recycle for our Secret Santa exchange this past Christmas.
Carol – I’m pleased to hear that my NOTDs inspire you
I wish you had shown me a pic of the nail you did for that wedding! I definitely want to see how Recycle looks on you. I love that color.
Dao – yea, turns out Gosh is a Danish brand. I love their lip glosses, too. They’re not sticky at all and the colors are really pretty.
come to canada. gosh is available at shoppers drug mart! it’s “only” a 6 hour (depending on your lead foot) drive from portland
Yay finally a product that Canada has that the US doesn’t! Sorry!
