Because so many of you asked, I decided to dedicate a whole entry to these puppies.
These are the lashes that I’ve been wearing for a lot of my FOTDs, lately.
Shisem 솔#
For a more natural look, these Sol Sharps have become my favorites, even more than the normal criss-crossed types like the XNS or XLS. You know how much I used to love and swear by the latter. My friend Susan sent me my first batch of Sol #’s and got me hooked. Just looking at them in the packaging, I thought they’d look too fake and too dramatic. The relatively short length and moderate volume makes it perfect for a daytime look or a downplayed evening look. It adds a bit of length and a bit of volume and the pattern isn’t so distinct that you’d recognize them as fakes so easily.
However, there is one serious drawback to the Shisems. I can’t buy them locally or online! It doesn’t even have to be the Shisem brand. I’d be happy with Echo, Darkness, Missha, etc… as long as they had the Sol Sharp model in stock. What’s great is that all the Korean brands share a universal coding system. I do not know, however, if they have the Sol Sharp model in any other brand.
The best method of acquisition, thus far, has been to ask friends who have access in their areas. Someone shared a blog (you can find the Sol Sharp under B24) where they’re selling them online, but I have yet to speak with, or hear from, anyone who has made a purchase through them. Shop at your own discretion!!

How much is a good price for Korean lashes do you think? There’s various places in Koreatown here selling them. I’ve seen Ipum lashes sold for about CA$5 here (or maybe it was CA$4.50). Is that reasonable compared to other places?
I just bought a pair of Darkness lashes just like those! I was so happy to find the little Korean cosmetics boutique down the street from my house has a little stand chock full of Darkness and Ipum lashes. I’ve paid anywhere from 3.50 to 4.00 for lashes myself.
I haven’t seen Shisems, but there’s so many stores I haven’t been through yet that I don’t doubt there are. I’d totally be able to send them your way if I found them ^^;;
I think JaclynRose was selling shisems or darkness lashes from a shop near her place, you could try asking her if they carry the style that you’re looking for.
orrrrr if you can wait till April, I’m going to be in NYC and I plan on stopping by The Face Shop, which sells shisems. I think EtherealPrey and Mona can look for em since they’re NYC locals too
These fake lashes look so natural! They look like MAC #7 but less dramatic.

The lashes look fantastic on you!! I love that they’re subtle and not super thick like some falsies. I seriously have searched high and low for Shisem lashes to no avail and I don’t know of any Korean markets around here

related: love the lashes, totally clueless about the whole code thing. I don’t think we have any korean lashes here in Vancouver (all though we are totally flooded with asian things here). Maybe i just don’t know where to look. I will however, keep my eyes peeled wide and if I see some, I will hoard it for you

I’m really excited because I just bought a couple of them when I was down in Vegas for the weekend. I wandered into this tiny store called Amore and they had a pretty big selection of them. LOL. I almost cried because I was so happy. >_<
