I finally got my hands on the Revlon PhotoReady Foundation at Walgreens. You have no idea how badly I’ve been wanting to try this. I’ve made several visits to Walgreens looking for this but wasn’t able to find it until now. Jen was telling me that it was on sale at Walgreens and I was like, “Oh, but I don’t think the Walgreens in Oregon, boo hoo de hooo.”

Revlon PhotoReady Foundation in 003 Shell
Jen suggested that maybe I had just missed it because they weren’t put in the same place as the other Revlon products. I got all indignant and was like, “What do you think I am, stupid or something? Of course, I didn’t miss it. I looked everywhere! I am not BLIND.”
I then sneaked back and checked under the other makeup brand names and realized they didn’t even put the right products under the right brand names and, indeed, Jen was right; they WERE separated from the rest of the Revlons. They weren’t even in an island. They were just obscured a couple of columns down from the other Revlons, between a couple of other brands. Shh, don’t tell Jen she was right and I was wrong.
By this time, I missed out on their $9.99 sale but I was too eager to try it. I know they have sales quite often but I’m going to Korea in less than ten days and I didn’t want to sit around and hope that another Revlon sale happens in that time. I also got two Rimmel Moisture Renew lipsticks, the second one being free (yay for BOGOFs!), so I didn’t feel too ripped off.

I’ve only worn it once, so I can’t give you guys a detailed review. So far, the only thing I don’t like is the light coverage. I’m wearing two layers here, first applied with a dry sponge and then applied again with a damp sponge (no particular reason for doing it that way). Also, it doesn’t make my skin look flawless or anything; I still need a good amount of concealer. I do like that it blends surprisingly well and stayed intact all day. It looks pretty good close up and in person. Also, I think the 003 Shell is a good color for me.

I’ll wear it for a few more weeks before giving you a detailed review.
Here is the Rimmel Moisture Renew lipstick in Pink Chic.

Couple more shots of the lipstick. You have to apply a lot of layers to get it this opaque. It’s really sheer. I like that it’s as moist as it advertises (super dewy-moist), but it still seems to peel my lips and the lipstick wears off a bit too fast. I do like how it looks.

The eye makeup. This definitely isn’t my favorite EOTD but I thought you’d like to see how the eyeliner looked. It’s quite vivid!

That dash of blue was done with this baby right here, the NYX eyeliner, courtesy of my Secret Santa (Judy, is that you?? YOU STILL HAVEN’T REVEALED YOURSELF TO MEEEEE. OMG How can you tease me for so long T_T).

We went out for Thai food that evening. When I saw the simple name of the restaurant, Thai Food Cafe, I already wanted to like the place.

Boyfriend's Evil Jungle Noodle, a curry dish.

My delicious Pad Kee Mao. Of course, we both had to get the Thai iced tea.
The leftovers lasted me two meals the next day. I love that the dishes are so inexpensive yet taste better than most of the food I’ve tried at fancier places.
So, how did the Revlon PhotoReady foundation hold up at the end of the day?
I think this was roughly 7 hours later. My T-zone would have lifted off the foundation by this time, but it didn’t even feel oily.

Until next time!

Gorgeous! You are right, looking at your pics, the coverage seems lighter but it makes you look more “natural” since your skin is peeking through. Love the last pic the most! Also liking the hint of blue on the eyes
I’m so tempted to purchase the Photoready foundation too, but I trying to “hit pan” before I purchase more makeup. For now, I’ll live vicariously through you
Yay for inexpensive eateries w/ big portions! Makes me wanna visit Portland even more.
You look really good in the 7 hour pic!!
I LOVE THAI FOOD – I made Mussaman Beef Curry on Sunday nite…YUM!
I’ve read conflicting reports about this foundation. The package looks so pretty, though. Back in the days, a Revlon foundation burned my skin. I’ve never touched another Revlon foundation since then. You’re going to Korea? Have a nice trip, girl! Blog like crazy from now to then, ok? I’m gonna miss youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!
I’m still on the fence with this one. I heard that that the regular colourstay is slightly better as the photoready one tends to pill upon contact with a moisturised face. I really don’t wanna be picking off foundation spaghetti from my face thank you!
Will look forward to your in depth review.
You’ve made me hungry for Thai food now!
And nooooooooooooooo don’t leave us!!!! don’t go to Korea!!! stay and play wif usssssss!
yummm. that Thai food looks really good. I probably shouldn’t be looking at this when I’m this hungry but oh well~! Do you use a primer before you put on your foundation? just wondering
Hahahahaha!!!!!
I told you so. :3
Also, I bought color 5 (natural beige?) and it was soooo orange on me so I returned it. Was gonna exchange it for 4 nude, but decided I don’t really need another foundation right now.
The Paul & Joe one I got from that sale is pretty perfect in terms of color match and I was worried the rest of the PhotoReadys would oxidize really badly on me too. Let me know how yours holds up. So far it looks pretty awesome on you.
Love this cute look! Pop of color is sweet!
LOL sure you’re not blind! LOL! I hate when they do that though. Shit fustrates me! So far it sounds like you’re lilking the foundie. I wonder if they have something similar with higher coverage? Hrm…
Not a big fan of Thai, but love the tea! LOL!
I’ve been very curious about this foundation too! I’ve tried the Rimmel lipsticks too, but you have to be careful which ones you pick. Turns out some are sheer and some are not. Try Spotlight Beige- it’s not sheer! now i’m starting to think it tastes kinda funny- i gotta check my other one.
I think that dash of blue looks very interesting! And you always look so pretty with pink lippies! Yum, the food looks so delicious, but unfortunately, Thai is not so much my taste, hehe… :p
That Pad Kee Mao is huge. Mmm… I think I’ll have Thai for lunch tomorrow.
Hmm, nice to live vicariously through you as you try new makeup products. I haven’t bought new makeup in a long time. I like that lippy on you.
Have fun in Korea. Will you be able to blog when you’re there?
love the pop of blue liner on you! the foundation looks good – anything that manages to stay on an oily/combo t-zone gets points in my book
though I’m still hesitant to try Revlon foundations again…I started breaking out right around the time I started trying the Revlon Colorstay and Maybelline 24hour foundations, and even though the breakouts are still lingering after I’ve stopped using those foundations, I want my skin to be in better condition before trying anything from either brand again.
damn these pimples. at least I can’t go wrong with lip and eye makeup
awww you mentioned me bwahahaha I feel so special! but I’m not answering….
I want to go to Korea too, put me in your luggage!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love the way you did your eyes, I think I’ll try this look tomorow
i <3 the dash of blue.
ooo look at those cute pouty lips! I’m so jealous! >< OMNOMNOMNOM Thai food.
It’s good that the foundation lasts so long for people with oily T-zone! I have very sensitive combination acne prone skin as well so I might check this foundation out!
I love the pop of blue in your eyes!
I’ve heard so much about this foundation! Wish it had better coverage though. I also looove Nyx products! Once I run out of eyeliner, I should try out Nyx. Hurray for Thai Iced Tea!
I wonder if I will try this out. I do need coverage…and its like $20 over here just to buy it.
PITA esh.
And I’m starting to thick I have this sign just above my head…
“Be rude to this moron right here, cause she hasn’t had enough crap to deal with in life”
Cause seriously…how can I constantly hit idiots when shopping?
