I really want to knit myself a pair of long fingerless gloves because it's way too cold in the library (so cold my arms actually turn purple--attractive!), but I don't know where to start. And your scarves are gorgeous and touch off major scarf envy in me. A scarf would also be good for the library. I have scarves, but I don't have beautiful, thick, handmade, cable-knit ones. Any recommendations for a hopeless beginner like me?
