I’ve been working on a new scarf for the adorable and ever delectable Jen. I found some sweet yarn stores close to my new home. I got this amazing high quality yarn from Twisted, which has quickly become my new favorite yarn store for their great services and yarn selection. They also have a huge tea menu and tons of room to sit, knit and sip. The yarns they sell are all kind of pricey, so I can’t imagine myself shopping there frequently, but I’m definitely going for their next sale.

Dream in Color brand Groovy yarn in Petal Shower. They're $19 a skein at Twisted. Ouch.
The finished project.

At the last minute, I decided to add some buttons. Mainly because it was too short to just drape around the neck and the yarn was too expensive to splurge on one more skein xD. Originally, the idea was to have the holes under the cable-knitting serve as buttonholes, but I might make button loops instead.

Modeling the scarf for friend. O dear. I sort of want to keep this for myself, now. LOL. The yarn is so much better than the one I used for my own scarf. It feels like cream.
I leave you with more Bella pr0n.

Have you brought my morning coffee?

Useless human. Leave me alone if you have no coffee to fetch me. I must get back to my reading.

RYC-haha you are so right! now I have no reason to not update my blog! :p I’ll be working on new posts today, hehehe <3
Gorgeous scarf! I find my local yarn shop to be really expensive, too! Once upon a time, I went there and they sold Brown Sheep yarn for 8-9 dollars/skein! Bella bossed you around again, smart cat!
lol! I love your cat! The cute flower buttons are a nice touch and the colors are really nice too. Good yarn is sooo expensive but sooo worth it in the end. I hesitate to grab any expensive ones because I really, really suck at knitting/crocheting.
WHat is Bella reading? LOL! Get her coffee!! Before she starts plotting again! LOL!
Girl your knitting skillz are getting mad crazy! THat scarf looks so intricate with the knits and braiding! I love the button details you added! If I needed scarves down here, I’d soo make you make me one! LOL!
He do you do hats?! O_o
Love the scarf!! You look so cute in it too
Bella is a spoiled kitteh…just like my Tommy!
The buttons are a cute touch on the scarf. I didn’t realize how Neopolitan it looked because there’s so much pink in it. So when are you opening a shop?
Oooh I love the colors!! So pretty…
How long did it take you?
Like I’ve said before, you are very talented:) Thats such a pretty scarf and I especially love the buttons!
Omg I would love to hang out with you, it would so much fun!
Hello!
Randomly stumbled on your blogg~ That scarf is gorgeous! The color combo & how it looks worn are <333 haha you should totally open up a shop!
OK, how long did it take you to learn how to knit, did you take any classes, and how do you have the patience to do all of that because I tried and I couldn’t make heads or tails of the instructions. I really want to knit myself a pair of long fingerless gloves because it’s way too cold in the library (so cold my arms actually turn purple–attractive!), but I don’t know where to start. And your scarves are gorgeous and touch off major scarf envy in me. A scarf would also be good for the library. I have scarves, but I don’t have beautiful, thick, handmade, cable-knit ones. Any recommendations for a hopeless beginner like me?
what a cute scarf! and I meant to comment on your other post about your scarf/hat, which are both adorable as well
I love the Dream in Color yarns for special projects. I love the cables. What cable pattern did you use? Anyway, it’s a beautiful scarf!
I’m a new follower and I just wanted to say I love your blog.
This scarf is so beautiful! I’m interested in learning how to knit and I’ve been inspired by your work.
What pattern did you use? It would be great if you could do a tutorial one day.
I’m sure there’s a bunch of us who would love to see it!
Take care!
*gasp* so pretty!
It is a gorgeous scarf!!! Did you made up the pattern? If you ever think of selling this pattern, please let me know, I love to knit!!! Thanks!
Damn! I knit and I never do anything that nice. X-(
