I use the Cottage Cheese pencil, or sometimes a shimmery white shadow, to brighten the eyes and make them look more alert. What I did above can stand out too much for one’s tastes or to wear to work. In this case, you can blend it more so that it’s just a subtle brightness, as opposed to a visible streak. Hope this helps!

Before anything else, I simply cannot get over how articulate you are ! Australians kind of butcher the English language a little…. Anywho, thank you so much for this tutorial ! (despite me finding it more than two years overtime…) I’m not great with makeup so I wanted to ask, is the Cottage Cheese eye pencil for contrast with black eyeliner or to blend the eyeliner with the skin ? I was wondering since your skin is such a lovely white ! and mine is typical Chinese yellow. Like springrolls. So I thought the white would kind of jump out from my face… Your verdict ?

Hi! You know what’s really weird? I have 1 eye, my right eye, that is double-eyelidded, and my left eye isn’t!!! DX I totally hate it cuz it’s sooo difficult!!! But i’m happy that at least ONE of my eyes is a double eyelid! LOL Thnx 4 this great tutorial. I’ll try it soon!!!!

Carol: Nope, but it does look that way, doesn’t it? It’s just the lighting and camera flash. As with my face, my hair seems to change color in the light. T_T This is another reason I didn’t like my last stylist. I told her I didn’t want any brassiness in my hair and she insisted that Asians looked better in reddish brown. I bet she just didn’t know how to get the red out -_-

I was totally wearing minimal eye makeup last week – and today, actually. Not even a wash of color with taupe eyeshadow. only for work though – over the weekend I end up playing with makeup again
