As promised, here are photos from Friday’s trip to the pumpkin patch and apple orchards.
The plan was to go to the pumpkin patch, take some pictures, pick out some pumpkins and, then, come home. We ended up doing so much more.

I had a difficult time fighting the urge to crawl inside one of these vats pretending to bathe in pumpkins.

First pick of the season!
We had way too much fun and we could have gotten away with not paying a dime on the fun we had, not even for the apples we picked and on which we munched while taking pictures. It didn’t feel right to enjoy ourselves so much and pay only for a couple of pumpkins, so we added an apple cider to the list.
When we sampled the cider, we knew there was no way we could avoid buying it. The apple cider tastes exactly like the apples we had eaten at the orchards.
Which apples, you ask?

Just be glad you didn’t get stuck with a picture of me actually eating it. Some people are simply incapable of eating with grace.

I severely regretted not having brought some buckets with which to pick apples. There were huge, ripe apples everywhere and the ones we tasted were so good. Thinking about them makes my mouth water even now.

so much fun! i totally miss apple picking with my bf and his parents – we'd leave the orchard with bags and bags of apples to eat…and his mom would randomly sit down for a break and slice up apples for us to snack on
