NYX Juliette
As I’ve promised, I will not be sharing pictures of makeup hauls, but I thought you might be interested in hearing my take on NYX nail polishes. Check out how lame I am holding up the bottle so that you can’t even see it. Go me.
The above is Juliette and I also got Jungle which is similar but darker. I’ll post a pic of that one next week.
It looks great in this photo but when I look down at my hands right now, well, I’m not quite sure. I guess it’s too bright, summery and beach-girl for my taste. I think I’d feel better about wearing it when I’m in an all-black outfit. I definitely like Jungle, though.
The consistency and color-density is great, though. The shimmer is a fine pearlescent goldish sheen with deep lowlights and highlights of aqua. So far, I’m impressed by the quality of this nail polish because it’s a mere $3.50 on Cherry Culture. I will definitely be buying more nail polish from NYX.
I am SO BUMMED OUT that they left out one of my orders, though! I was most looking forward to the NYX Round Lipstick in Orange Soda and, of course, it was the one product they forgot to put in my order! They’re looking into the matter, however, and I know they’ll come through. They’ve never disappointed me. Also, it looks like they stopped giving out those horrible cherry-scented lip glosses with every order. Hooray!
Also, the blushes I ordered turned out to be much darker than I had expected. It looks like I’ll be selling or giving away the blushes and quite possibly this particular nail polish you’re eye-spying above. I’ll test them out and post pix for you, though. *Sigh* The things I do for you guys!

It looks very mermaid-y to me! LOL! But it is pretty! Hell I don’t even paint my nails, but have so much polish lying around, so I shouldn’t talk! LOL!
YES they must’ve realized what a WASTE of money it was to make those crappy ass “glosses”. All that was, was a glorified trashbag weight.

hey girly girl! I love NYX nailpolishes too. I have Jungle, Las Vegas, Lime Sparkle (I just found this yesterday in my cupboard, I had no idea I bought it! yay!) and Wild. I also have a couple of the nyx girls sparkle polishes. Only have a few swatches on the blog though…obviously, since I have polishes I didn’t know I had. XD
As for Orange Soda, reminds me of a YSL volupte lippy I just bought, Peach Passion. Mebbes when you get it in we can both swatch and compare. My first orange lippy, so I’m intrigued! I’m trying to wear it with everything!
Jen: Aw man. I just saw Temptalia’s swatch for Peach Passion and it’s exactly what I want! I was lemming a color like this for a look I wanted to copy off this month’s Scawaii magazine. We should definitely do a swatch comparison! It’d be interesting.
