This Doesn’t Count as Blogging: And I got you guys nothing.

I have this awesome camera and I can’t upload pix from it anymore :D

How about I start blogging with cell phone pix? How would you guys feel about it? Lousy quality cellphone pix that can easily be uploaded vs. high quality camera pix that are really hard to upload on my laptop. Vote now!

Blur is so becoming. So is looking like jailbait by the power of low megapixelage.

Here’s an example of such an entry:

Now that I’ve got the hang of taking pix with my Blackberry and uploading it to Facebook, I thought it’d be a good time to share some pix.

Mayaari is such an angel. It must have been utter chaos for her to switch jobs, move to a new state, deal with packing AND suffer the holidays at the same time. Yet, she made the time to send out gifts to her fellow beauty bloggers and even my little corner of the world was graced by her light.

I’ve been dying to try these EcoTools brushes for some time now but I’ve been talking myself out of buying more makeup brushes. Here’s where Mayaari came to the rescue. I had the opportunity to try them out during my holiday in Portland and I LOVE THEM! The brushes are uber-soft yet sturdily put together. Shed-free and guilt-free. Plus, they pick up makeup really well. A++

I haven’t tried the Union Street Pink Grapefruit soap and the Aromaleigh pigment in Circe samples yet, but I have been using the Kiehl’s lip balm and I’m thoroughly pleased with the texture and scent. I was using Burt’s Bees and Brave Soldier Lip Defender, neither of which have been all that pleasing. Perhaps this calls for a “Lip balms that can kiss my ass” series. In any case, I approve of Kiehl’s :D Thanks, Mayaari!

Having Lizlin in one’s life is like having a free lifetime supply of freshly squeezed orange juice. I couldn’t really elaborate on this butt-pulled simile but I hope you catch my drift… and that you like freshly squeezed orange juice. To say it less poetically, I’d have to say that my life is a lot better with a Lizlin in it *wink and grin

I love getting postcards. Liz is great about sending some gorgeous ones of Dublin and Trinity College. There’s that Bourjois Yes to Volume, No to Clumps mascara she was insistent on sending me (not that she had to twist my arm or anything) along with a pack of shimmering salmon-colored pigment (can’t wait to try it!) and that awesome, awesome, AWESOME Glam Crystals glittery gel eyeliner. I used the latter for my New Year’s Eve look and it added a gorgeous green finish to an otherwise all-blue combination. You can’t really see it in these pictures but I hope to do a tutorial on the look soon.

Of Liz’s gifts, I saved this for last on purpose, even though I’ve been super-excited to show this to you guys. Remember my pen-and-ink series from last fall? Liz had one of them made into a T-shirt!!!!!

OMGARRRRRRRRDDddddd….

I took a whole bunch of these pictures and even took pictures of myself wearing them but I haven’t been able to share them with you. Now that I can directly upload pictures to Facebook on my Blackberry, I can finally show off this awesome new T!!!!!

Liz and I are talking about doing a limited T-shirt line. We’re still working out the kinks and it’s still mostly in the conceptual phase (meaning, we just dream about it but don’t really plan much) but it’d be so much fun if we could design our own tees and share them with some good people.

I just realized this Christmas season introduced me to the Bourjois brand for the first time, thru Liz and through my cousin J.

Unni, if you’re reading this, thanks again for the Bourjois Suivez Mon Regard loose shadows (She got me the Illuminateur du Regard and Rose Or). If makeup is a drug, then this stuff is pure crack. I also love how she got her little girls to present it to me with a darling photo-card. Those little girls can take my heart and melt it and smoosh it into a million different shapes.

Niice! I’m a broke-ass miser right now :P The only people that got presents from me are my parents and Denis. I still owe some Christmas gifts to a few friends, but since I probably won’t see them until Spring semester starts, I’ll probably just give them early Easter gifts XD

I’m so glad that you liked the wee holiday packet. And don’t think I’ve forgot about our printed T dream! ;) I’m going to get some contacts off my friends in the fashion/apparel industry and hopefully find someone/some place that can do it for cheap and with fewer restrictions. In the meantime, keep feeding the doodles machine! <3
