picks me up and dusts self off

I think Family Guy is a lousy show. I think the humor is too predictable, formulaic and even pretentious. They have these rare moments that do make me laugh, like the time Chris was delivering newspapers and Herbert the Pervert tried to lure him in with promises of popsicles. Most of the time, though, I want to groan in agony because I recognize those moments that are supposed to be funny, but they execute it so poorly that I want to delete the scenes from my mind. Like the time the family’s watching as a theme song to a show plays and the theme song is literally four minutes long. Did they honestly think that the audience would chortle uncontrollably for four minutes while listening to the entire song and watching the Griffiths stare blankly into the screen?

Look at me. I’ve become THE cliché blogger, pretending I have the authority to judge and gripe. NOOOO THIS IS NOT WHO I WAS SUPPOSED TO BE!

By the way, I’m twenty-seven and I still haven’t graduated from undergrad college. I feel so lowly and pathetic it kills me every single day. I want to just quit altogether and I get these fancy ideas about pursuing a full-time career as a poor starving artist who successfully markets her creativity and makes it big. I know for a fact that it wouldn’t work out that way, though, which is why I drag this on.

and on

and on

and on

Gawd, I make me sick. Seriously, let’s get out of this rut, hmm?

Join the club darlin’, you’re in abundant company. However, there are so many more pathetic and less profitable ways to spend our 27th year, like being on crack or popping out babies. Right?? Tell me I’m right….
